*Tutorial* Elastieken band met haaksel

Naar aanleiding van het mobielhoesje van hieronder, met zo’n zwarte elastieken band, bedacht ik me dat dat elastiek wel wat vrolijker kon. Gelukkig had ik nog zo’n vilten mobielhoesje liggen.
Ik pakte mijn haaknaalden erbij en ging aan de slag.

Further to the phone pouch I made earlier, with a black elastic band, I thought about brightening it up a little.
Luckily, I had another felt pouch in my stash. I took my crochet hooks and whipped this up.

Zo, dat ziet er gelijk al een stuk gezelliger uit!
En het is natuurlijk ook leuk voor om een notitieblokje, of om een boek (als boekenlegger)…

And of course it also fits a notebook, or a book (as a book marker)…

Of om een plastic mapje met kaartjes…

Or to wrap around a plastic cover with cards…

De mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos!
Ik heb er gelijk maar een tutorial voor jullie van gemaakt…

*Tutorial* Elastieken band met haaksel
*Tutorial* Crocheted elastic band

Benodigdheden:
– bandelastiek (Hema)
– wolletjes (ik gebruikte Catania met haaknaald 2,5 (voor de granny squares) en Drops Paris met haaknaald 5 (voor het hartje en bloempje))
– haaknaald
– naaimachine (of naald en draad)
– schaar
– naald

Needed:
– elastic band
– yarn (I used Catania and crochet hook 2,5 (for the granny squares) and Drops Paris and crochet hook 5 (for the heart and flower))
– crochet hook
– sewing machine (or needle and thread)
– a pair of scissors
– needle

Knip het elastiek af, zodat het precies past om bijv. een notitieboekje.
Naai de uiteindes over elkaar, als het goed is moet je het nu uitrekken om het om je boekje te doen.

Cut off a piece of elastic, so it’s a tight fit around e.g. a note book.
Sew the ends on top of each other, the elastic should be now stretched to wrap around the note book.

Haak twee granny squares (of bloempjes, of hartjes, of…).

Crochet two granny squares (or flowers, or hearts, or…).

Leg de verkeerde kanten van de granny squares op elkaar en naai ze aan elkaar vast, met het elastiek (waar je het aan elkaar hebt genaaid) ertussen.

With wrong sides facing, sew the granny squares together with the elastic (the part where it’s sewn together) in between.

Naai het elastiek ook mee vast.

Also sew the elastic when sewing them together.

Knoopjes in de eindjes, eindjes verbergen en klaar!

Tie the ends of the yarn together, sew in the ends and you’re finished!

Dat was nog eens makkelijk en snel klaar!
